Diferencias entre Té e Infusiones

Differences between tea and infusions

There is a confusion between what is tea and an infusion. Actually, only the one made from the Camellia Sinensis plant, a plant of Chinese origin, should be called tea. Any other drink made with other types of herbs and fruits is an infusion.

The main differences are:

- When preparing teas or infusions the process changes. A tea can be steeped for only 5 minutes or else it will turn sour. On the other hand, the infusions can be calmly for 7 to 10 minutes. After that the plants are taken out.”.

- Tea does contain theine, while infusions do not. And the more a tea oxidizes, the more theine it will have

¡All teas are infusions but not all infusions are teas! Through the infusion technique we get the ingredients to give off their flavor, aroma, color and nutrients, providing many benefits, making it highly recommended to improve our well-being.

The infusions made from pennyroyal-mint are good digestive, chamomile is a perfect natural painkiller, linden promotes sleep, is antitussive and antispasmodic, sage is good against inflammation of the respiratory tract and thus each infusion provides many benefits.
